Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God creates man in His image and grants dominion over creation. He blesses them to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue the earth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Genesis invites you to see the creation of man as a revelation of consciousness. Let us make man in our image signifies that you are the image of God—awareness itself. Your world bends to the assumption you hold in the I AM. Dominion over sea and land is the rule your inner state has over experiences; it is not rule over others but mastery of your own reactions, conditions, and beliefs. To be created in His image is to understand that reality follows the quality of your inner life; being blessed and asked to be fruitful means you cultivate a creative atmosphere that multiplies meaningful possibilities, resources, and relationships. Replenish and subdue become practices of renewing old thoughts and mastering fear and inertia. The verse 27 unity of image and likeness points to uniting conscious will and receptive feeling, guided by the I AM. Your power rests in imagining the end from the end, in feeling the wish fulfilled, and in living from the I AM as your evergreen reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, rest in the I AM presence, and assume you already possess dominion. Visualize one area where you seek fruitfulness and feel the state of that end now; live from that reality in the moment.
