Glory in the Cross Within

Galatians 6:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Galatians 6 in context

Scripture Focus

14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Galatians 6:14

Biblical Context

Paul proclaims that he will boast only in the cross of Christ, and through that cross the world is crucified to him and he to the world.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the inner reader, the cross is not a fact on a page but a turning of your attention. Glory in the cross means the identification with the self that says 'I am separate' is set aside. By the cross, the world—your outward concern with status, opinion, and failure—is crucified unto you; and you are crucified unto the world. This is not tragedy, but a liberation of feeling: you stop seeking from without and return to the I AM, the consciousness that you are one with all. In this light, 'Christ' stands for the state of awakened awareness and the cross marks the boundary where old categories fall away. When you align with the I AM, you notice that what you call 'world' dissolves as a separate theater; your thoughts, desires, and outcomes rearrange themselves to fit the new inner state. The cross becomes your inner faith, your grace and favor, and your salvation as a present experience.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare: I glory only in the cross of Christ; the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Then imagine the cross standing between you and every outer concern, resting in the I AM as the unifying reality.
