Meek Restoration Within
Galatians 6:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Galatians 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Galatians 6:1 instructs those who are spiritual to gently restore a brother who falters, doing so with humility and self-check.
Neville's Inner Vision
Brethren are the awakened I AM within you, not distant judges. When you perceive a fault in another, you are not called to condemn but to restore through meekness, because all appearance flows from your own consciousness. The instruction to restore in the spirit of meekness means you hold the image of the other as already healed, while you quietly examine your own temptations, lest you fall into the same dream. The fault you see is a message demanding a transformation of your inner image, not a correction of another's behavior. In your imagination, treat the other as still belonging to the unity of God, and gently revise the scene so that mercy, forgiveness, and wholeness are present. By assuming the state of their wellness, you awaken that state in your own being. The moment you judge becomes the moment you deny your own perfect I AM; the moment you soften with meekness, your inner sense of self expands into unity. Thus, the restoration you seek in another arises from your own changed consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the scenario in your mind. Assume the other is already healed and you are the I AM witnessing their wholeness; feel that mercy in your chest and let it guide every response.
