Inner Law, Outer Grace

Galatians 5:3-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Galatians 5 in context

Scripture Focus

3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:3-6

Biblical Context

Paul argues that relying on circumcision makes you debtor to the whole law. True righteousness comes by faith through the Spirit, not by outward works.

Neville's Inner Vision

What you call circumcision is the outer label your mind uses to measure itself; the Christ within is your awareness, the I AM. If you insist on justification by the law, you bind yourself to a debt you cannot satisfy and grace slips away. Yet the Spirit invites you to wait for the hope of righteousness by faith—the faith that trusts the I AM at the center of your being, not a creed or ritual. In truth, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision matters; what matters is faith working through love, a living, inner motion that transforms your perception. When you dare to feel love as your essential state, you align with righteousness already present in consciousness. You are not under the law but under grace; grace is your own awakened awareness acting through you, revealing the inner reality that creates your world.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are already righteous by faith in your I AM; revise the sense of debt to the law and feel it real that your life is powered by love. For the next 24 hours, notice choices arising from inner trust rather than rule-keeping.
