Galatians 5:25-26

Biblical Context

Paul calls us to live and walk by the Spirit. He warns against vanity and envy that provoke and divide.

Neville's Inner Vision

To live in the Spirit is to realize I am the I AM; my whole being is the one Presence, not a self seeking glory. When Galatians speaks of living and walking in the Spirit, I understand it as aligning inner feeling with every action. Vanity and envy are counterfeit states, born from a belief in separation. By turning my attention to the one Presence within, I shed competitive selfhood and assume the generous posture of unity. I imagine the Spirit in motion in me—quiet, luminous, fearless—so that my dealings with others become a baptism of mutual uplift. Imagination is the seed of reality: I am the love that blesses, and the outer world gradually reflects that inner state. When vain desire or provoking thoughts arise, I revise them by saying, 'I am walking in the Spirit now,' and feel the harmony that follows. The walk then becomes natural; the Spirit leads and I follow, one in God, one in love.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume you are already walking in the Spirit. Whenever envy or vanity arises, revise instantly to the feeling of unity and bless others.
