Flesh and Spirit Within You
Galatians 5:19-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul declares the works of the flesh are obvious, but the fruit of the Spirit marks a Spirit-led life. Those who pursue the former do not inherit the kingdom; those governed by the Spirit bear love, joy, and peace.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your verse is not a set of rules but a description of states. The flesh is the identifiable pattern of fear, craving, and separation you accept as real; the Spirit is the felt reality of your I AM, the quiet witness that loves, rejoices, and rests. In Neville's terms, the kingdom of God is an inner kingdom you can claim now by assuming a new self-image. If you identify with impulses and hurry, you live in the flesh; if you imagine yourself already bearing the fruits—love, joy, peace, patience—you are living by the Spirit. The method is simple: you revise your inner picture and feel the new state real in your chest, not as a wish but as an established sense of being. Say I AM that which you seek; dwell there until your habitual thoughts align with the fruit you desire. When you feel it real, your outward circumstances align as a natural consequence of your inner state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state of the fruit in you—love, joy, peace—feeling it as your present reality. Continue to dwell in that feeling until it colors your next action.
