Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Walk by the Spirit so you do not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Inside you, the flesh and the Spirit oppose each other, making your choices feel blocked until you realign inwardly.
Neville's Inner Vision
Walking in the Spirit is not a denial of life; it is a turning of attention to the I AM—the living, unchanging awareness you are. The flesh represents the old identification with craving and habit, while the Spirit is your true self, the constant, inner director. These two powers oppose each other in you, so that the old pattern makes you feel you cannot do what you would; yet this struggle arises only while you mistake yourself for the one who craves. The key is to imagine from the I AM, to treat Spirit as your governing reality, and to let your acts proceed from that center. When you align with Spirit, the pull of the flesh loosens, and obedience to your higher purpose becomes natural. Your body, feelings, and decisions begin to reflect the inner state you practice—peace, clarity, and fearless love. Practice: assume you are Spirit-led now, dwell in that assumption, and feel the reality of it until it stamps your every choice. The conflict dissolves as you inhabit the language and life of Spirit.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and assume you are already Spirit-led; repeat 'I am Spirit-led now' until you feel the state as real, then proceed with your next choice from that inner state.
