Inner Jerusalem: Mother of Freedom
Galatians 4:26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Galatians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Galatians 4:26 identifies the Jerusalem above as the free mother of us all, signaling that true liberty comes from within, not from outward appearances.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, Jerusalem which is above is your true home of consciousness—the free mother within you that births every experience. When you acknowledge that state as your own I AM, you awaken from bondage to appearances and discover that the kingdom you seek is not elsewhere but in the higher, feminine center of awareness. The word 'mother' here is not gendered power but the nurturing impulse of God within, bearing and sustaining all you are and become. To enter this Jerusalem is to abandon the idea that life flows from without and to claim that it flows from within, from the I AM that knows you as free. The allegory invites you to revise your sense of self until you feel the liberty as your natural condition. As you dwell in that inner city, your thoughts shift, your feelings stabilize, and your outer conditions follow suit, arranged by your inner state. Imagination is the artist; assumption is your tool; you are the mother of your own manifestation, and your liberty is already established in consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and enter the inner Jerusalem. Assume the feeling of freedom now, and let the I AM stand as your constant awareness.
