Inner Time of the Father
Galatians 4:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Galatians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul notes a child is under guardians until the time appointed by the Father; the mature realization comes when consciousness awakens to freedom.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine that the man or woman you are—your awareness—is never bound by a distant law, but sits quietly as the I AM. The verse speaks of guardians and tutors, not as external powers, but as the beliefs and conditions you once accepted as reality. Until the time appointed by the Father, the sense of self behaves like a child under discipline, learning, measuring, and obeying rules. But the Father is the inner I AM, the self-aware essence that calls you into maturity. When the appointed time arrives—when you accept the truth that you are the Father within you—these tutors dissolve, their authority fading as you awaken to your sonship and identity. Your state of consciousness determines the outer scene; you are not governed by law, you are the I AM that decides the law you live by. The fullness of time is a shift in awareness, not a change in circumstances. You can consciously revise the sense of being governed by conditions and replace it with the feeling that you are already free and complete, now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare: I am the Father within me, free now and always. Feel the inner guardians dissolving as the appointed time becomes vivid in your awareness; rest in the feeling of sonship.
