Truth Echoes Within Galatians 4:16
Galatians 4:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Galatians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul asks if telling the truth makes him an enemy; the verse captures the friction that arises when honesty unsettles others.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the question Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? is not about others but about your own inner climate. Truth-telling is an act of inner alignment; when you speak from the I AM, you reveal your own state of consciousness. If others recoil, see their reaction as a projection of their inner resistance, not a verdict on your worth. There are no enemies in the external world, only states of consciousness you have accepted as real. When you revise your sense of self to be the living truth you wish to see, the very act of speaking becomes the sensation of that truth incarnate. The so-called enemy dissolves as you embrace the certainty that you are the Truth you tell, and the world reflects that shift back to you. Your job is not to control others but to dwell in the I AM and allow appearances to adjust to your inner peace. As you persist in this, the fear of rejection loses its grip, and conflict gives way to harmony.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and revise a scene where you tell someone the truth from the I AM; see their face soften and their response align with your inner peace, and feel the reality that you are already the truth.
