Awakening the Inner Heir

Galatians 4:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Galatians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

1Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Galatians 4:1-2

Biblical Context

The heir is treated as a child under guardians until the Father's appointed time. Despite being lord of all, he remains under tutors.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this moment of Galatians 4:1-2, consider the I AM within you as the true heir of all. Until you awaken, you live as if governed by tutors—habits, fears, and the laws you have accepted—so you appear to be under constraint even though you are lord of all. The 'time appointed of the Father' is not a future date but an inner moment of realization when you shift from object of circumstance to subject of consciousness. The Kingdom of God is not a distant realm but your present awareness when you refuse to identify with limitation. The 'tutors and governors' are the old stories you keep repeating; deny them entry by assuming the posture of the I AM, feeling already sovereign. Let your sense of self dissolve into the memory of your divine birthright, and you will discover that liberty precedes action, and action follows belief.

Practice This Now

Assume the status of the heir now: close your eyes, declare 'I AM the Lord of all.' Feel the inside of you settle as sovereignty, and revise any limit as mere belief.
