Law and Faith Inside You

Galatians 3:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Galatians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

12And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Galatians 3:12

Biblical Context

Galatians 3:12 declares the law is not of faith. Those who live by the deeds of the law live in the law, not by inner trust.

Neville's Inner Vision

Galatians 3:12 tells us the law is not of faith; the one who does the deeds of the law lives within its letter. Yet I tell you, the 'obey' mind never awakens to the kingdom, for faith is a state of consciousness, not a set of rules. When you identify with mere external performance, you are living in the defined perimeter of human effort, and life unfolds as consequence of that effort. But faith—true, living trust in the I AM—opens an inner doorway where the world rearranges itself from within. The law concerns form; faith concerns the formless awareness that animates form. When you enter the feeling that you are the I AM and that all you see is a dream of that awareness, you find that what you seek appears as the natural expression of your inner state. The "doeth them" of the old text becomes the inner conviction that you already possess what you seek, and life follows as a shadow, obedient to the light of your inner faith.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume I AM is your sole reality. Allow the inner trust to saturate every sense until life unfolds as the natural expression of that faith.
