Gospel Truths Within You
Galatians 2:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul confronted Peter for inconsistency, showing that the gospel must be lived from inner truth rather than outward customs. The verse invites us to examine how our inner state dictates behavior, not merely external laws.
Neville's Inner Vision
Paul saw Jew and Gentile as two inner states of consciousness contending within the mind. When I read that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I hear an inner whisper: the gospel is not a rule to be imposed from without, but a state of consciousness to be assumed. The outward form—the law, the custom—becomes a mirror of inner alignment. If you feel compelled to force others to live by a pattern, you are projecting inner fear into their behavior and calling it truth. The true gospel is the awareness that the I AM—your anchor of Being—already fulfills every demand. When you notice a split between inner conviction and outer doing, revise the inner scene: imagine that you are living the truth now, and let the outer world align with that inner law. The Peter and Gentiles are figures for your own judgments; by dwelling in the oneness of the gospel, the discrepancy dissolves, and uprightness becomes automatic in your life. So stand in the awareness that you are the gospel in expression, here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are living the truth now; feel the I AM as your inner governor. Let any outward appearance revise to match that inner gospel until your world reflects your awakened state.
