The Inner Gospel Revelation

Galatians 1:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Galatians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:11-12

Biblical Context

Paul asserts that his gospel is not derived from any human source but from a direct revelation of Christ. It signals that truth is interior, revealed to the awakened mind, not manufactured by tradition.

Neville's Inner Vision

To me, these verses say: the gospel I preach to myself is not a product of human teaching, but a direct revelation of Christ in my consciousness. If I am to believe it, I must stop seeking validation from teachers and start listening to the inner voice that speaks the truth I already am. The revelation is not a past event in history; it is the continuous awareness that I am the I AM, and that this awareness is the vehicle of all good news. When I accept that the gospel is within, I find that what once seemed distant becomes my immediate experience. The outer world may appear to dictate terms, yet the inner witness stands as the true gospel, constant and unassailable. I can trust that the Christ within me is the source of every answer, and that this inward guidance is enough to steer my life. The moment I rest in that revelation, I am free from the dependence on external authorities, and the truth flows as naturally as breath.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and in the quiet declare: The gospel that governs my life is revealed within me; I am taught by the revelation of Christ within. Feel it as fact, a warm certainty moving through you until it seems as if you have just learned the truth anew.
