From the Neville perspective, the verse is not about outward ritual alone, but about the inner state that makes a world. The priests and Levites purified together symbolize the alignment of distinct aspects of self—faithful devotion and service—into a single, consecrated state. Their purity is not a mere moral condition but a fixed state of consciousness in which separation falls away and a new sense of I AM arises. When they kill the Passover for the children of the captivity and for their brethren, they demonstrate that your inner decision to honor, protect, and release bondage extends beyond yourself; it applies to all your held selves—the parts of you that have been captive to fear, doubt, or limitation, as well as the priestly guides within. The act of Passover, then, is the symbolic birth of consciousness within you, a cutting away of bondage by seeing and affirming your unity with the Truth. The outer feast mirrors the inner realization: you are now free because you have chosen to be free in awareness.
