Biblical Context
Zerubbabel and Jeshua rise to begin the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, with the prophets assisting them.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ezra 5:2 is a whisper to your inner ear: the temple you seek to rebuild exists first as awareness, not as bricks. Zerubbabel and Jeshua are your two faculties—faith and action—rising together to lay a new sanctuary within. The presence of God in Jerusalem is the sign that the I AM dwells already inside, and the prophets who assist them are the movements of inspiration, intuitive nudges, and steadfast covenant memory within you. When you identify with the I AM as the builder, you invite those inner guides to cooperate; delays or doubts are merely thoughts trying to pretend that the walls are still intact. The work proceeds the moment you align your vision with the truth of an inner sanctuary that is being rebuilt now, through calm decision and faithful collaboration with your inner speakers. Remember: you do not provide God with a temple; you awaken to the fact that God already resides in you and you act from that certainty, letting your consciousness fashion the outward world in its own image.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already the builder and dweller of your inner temple; feel the Presence within as the builders lay the stones. Stay with that feeling for several breaths and revise any doubt until the scene is real in your consciousness.
