Read Ezra 5 in context

Scripture Focus

15And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place.
16Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished.
Ezra 5:15-16

Biblical Context

Vessels are moved to the temple, and the foundation of God’s house is laid. The construction has begun and remains unfinished.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner theatre, the 'vessels' are your feelings, beliefs, and precious states of awareness, carried into the temple of your inner Jerusalem where the I AM dwells. The command to take these vessels and establish the house of God there invites you to align your consciousness with the divine, to stand in the assumption that you are already that which you seek. When Sheshbazzar lays the foundation, recognize that you have decided upon a solid mental footing for the sacred life you desire; foundations are acts of decision in consciousness. The ongoing building—'not finished'—is the timeless truth that creation is an ongoing process, ever unfolding as you persist in imagination. Do not chase a future form; rather, imagine and feel from the state of the completed temple here and now. Your task is to maintain the inner order, allow your self to become the house, and let the outer world gradually reflect the foundation you have laid within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit quietly and declare, 'The house of God is built in me now.' Visualize laying a foundation within your inner Jerusalem and feel the reality as if finished.
