Inner Foundation of Praise

Ezra 3:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezra 3 in context

Scripture Focus

11And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Ezra 3:11

Biblical Context

The people praise the LORD because He is good and His mercy endures forever. The laying of the foundation of the temple represents an inner establishment of God's presence within the soul.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the people are your states of consciousness, the worship is your deliberate alignment with the I AM, and the foundation laid is the sturdy conviction that your inner temple is established. When you imagine the house of the LORD rising, you are not building a temple in space; you are erecting a rhythm of being through which mercy flows unceasingly toward your inner Israel. The chorus of praise is the transition from fear or lack to the memory of goodness and enduring mercy. As you dwell in that awareness, you experience the Presence of God as the I AM itself, the constant 'I' that witnesses every movement. The outward shout reflects the inner confirmation: the foundation is laid when your imagination holds the truth that God is good and that mercy endures forever. Your job is not to beg; it is to assume the state, feel it real, and dwell there until the world around you shifts to reflect that inner temple.

Practice This Now

Assume now that the foundation of the LORD's house is laid within you. In a few minutes of stillness, feel the I AM as the unchanging Presence and let gratitude and praise rise as if it were already true.
