Inner Priesthood of Ezra 2
Ezra 2:59-64 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Some who returned could not prove their Israelite lineage or priestly descent, so they were barred from the priesthood; the assembly totaled 42,360.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let Ezra 2:59-64 be seen not as genealogical data but as a map of inner states. The ones who cannot prove their father's house symbolize thoughts that cannot claim their true identity in the I AM. The Tirshatha’s decree that they not eat the holy things reflects the inner limitation that accompanies a consciousness convinced of lack. Yet the holy things are never outside you; they are your awareness and your capacity to worship in truth. To turn this scene, claim your priestly lineage now by assuming you are the I AM, standing purified and rightful in your inner temple. Call forth Urim and Thummim as your inner guidance—discernment and illumination—so you may separate yourself from polluted thoughts and recognize your true covenant loyalty. The 42,360 speaks of wholeness when you accept your true status in God-in-you. Your task is to revise the self-concept until you feel the truth of who you really are, and then you may freely partake in the most holy.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the rightful heir of your spiritual line. Feel Urim and Thummim guiding you inwardly, and revise your self-concept until you know you belong in the holy.
