Ezra 1:4 Inner Provision and Worship
Ezra 1:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezra 1:4 teaches that those who remain in a place are supported by the community with silver, gold, goods, and even beasts, plus freewill offerings for the temple in Jerusalem. It presents communal generosity as a foundation for true worship and provision.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ezra 1:4 speaks of a people who remain in a place and are sustained by those around them; in Neville's view, the 'people' are the states of consciousness that attend persistence. The 'house of God' in Jerusalem is your inner temple—the I AM you are aware of. The silver, gold, goods, and beasts are the lively means by which consciousness expresses wealth: energy, ideas, talents, and power. When you stay in a definite state—a knowing of guidance and care—the other states of consciousness come forward to supply resources, just as a community would for a temple. The freewill offering is not ritual but voluntary inner worship—giving attention, gratitude, and time to the temple within. The law is simple: align your outer life with the conviction of inner provision, and provision follows. If lack arises, revise your assumption to 'I am already supplied by the I AM,' and feel the reality of that supply until it saturates your being.
Practice This Now
Assume you are remaining in your inner Jerusalem. Visualize the people of your inner city bringing silver, gold, goods, and beasts to support you, while you freely offer your inner gifts in worship to the temple within.
