Inner Ornament vs Idols and Separation

Ezekiel 7:20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 7 in context

Scripture Focus

20As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
Ezekiel 7:20

Biblical Context

Plain summary: The verse contrasts outward ornament with inner false worship. When the sanctuary is filled with images of abominations, God sets that beauty far from them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Ezekiel speaks to the inner temple. The 'beauty of his ornament' is the outward polish or aura you project—your personality, desires, and appearances—placed in majesty. Yet whenever you permit images of abominations to inhabit the sanctuary of your mind, you are worshipping beneath the surface of your true Self. This is not condemnation of beauty, but a warning: beauty used to hide false worship becomes a idol. When you awaken to the truth that you are I AM, the idols lose their grip; the images you once trusted as reality are revealed as thoughts arising within awareness, not the power behind it. God’s removal of that ornament from you is a correction of inner geography, making room for the I AM to reign alone in majesty. Your true worship is the recognition that you are consciousness, not the carved or polished image you carry. As you hold that truth, the images dissolve, and you are drawn into a holy alignment where separation becomes liberating, not punishing.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and assume the I AM as the sole ruler of your inner sanctuary; silently revise any inner image that claims power or beauty not aligned with I AM, until you feel a clear space where no idol lives.
