Inner Covenant Awakening in Ezekiel
Ezekiel 5:7-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel has forsaken the Lord’s statutes and judgments by adopting the surrounding nations’ ways. As a result, God declares judgments that bring exile and the scattering of the remnant.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the plane of consciousness, when you multiply your thoughts with the fashions of the world, you have not walked in the statutes of your inner I AM. God is not a power outside you but the I AM you awaken to. Therefore, I am against that state of consciousness that seeks to measure itself by others, and I will enact judgments within you to wake you to true loyalty. I will do in you what I have not done before, not to punish you as a victim, but to collapse the old order that clings to external standards. The line about fathers eating sons is a symbol of old beliefs devouring new life; the sanctuary you defile with detestable things is your mind crowded with fear, pride, and comparison. Yet I live as your awareness, and I will diminish anything that is not true of you, so your inner temple can shine. A third part dies with pestilence and famine, a third is scattered, a third is drawn by wind; these denote the breaking of old habits and the birth of a sovereign self anchored in the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM is awake in you; repeat, I align my life with the inner statutes, and feel the sanctuary within becoming bright and pure.
