Arrows of Famine Within

Ezekiel 5:16-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 5 in context

Scripture Focus

16When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:
17So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.
Ezekiel 5:16-17

Biblical Context

Ezekiel describes famine, beasts, pestilence, and the sword as manifestations of divine judgment, coming upon the people as consequences for unfaithfulness.

Neville's Inner Vision

All of Ezekiel’s calamities are not external punishments but the movements of consciousness you presently inhabit. The 'evil arrows of famine' are your present lack of inner nourishment—a belief that bread, life, and safety come from without. The I the LORD who speaks within you is the I AM, your uninterrupted awareness. When you identify with this awareness, you can watch the famine dissolve as you revise the scene. The famine, beasts, pestilence, and sword are the inner motions that show you what you still expect to happen. They reveal where you have given power to fear rather than to faith. The true prophecy is not that God will destroy you, but that you may awaken by choosing a new state of consciousness. So, refuse to argue with the outer symptom; instead, align with I AM, and feel the reality of abundance already present. In that alignment, the outer world shifts to reflect your inward revision.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the feeling of abundance: 'I AM that I AM, fully supplied now.' Revise the scene in your mind to restore bread, calm, and safety, and dwell there for a few minutes.
