The Inner Sanctuary Center
Ezekiel 48:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 48 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage presents a large, precise rectangle with a central sanctuary, where offerings are arranged around the holy space and the LORD’s sanctuary sits in the middle.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine these numbers as states of consciousness, not stones. The 'border of Judah' marks the edge of your familiar self, stretching from the east to the west, with the sanctuary placed squarely in the middle. The offering and the oblation symbolize what you allow into your awareness—your thoughts, feelings, and acts brought into contact with the I AM. When you move through life in any direction—north, south, east, or west—the center remains unchanged and holy. The 'sanctuary of the LORD' is the steadiness of awareness that holds all activity within its bounds. The priests’ portion is your inner worship: a constant devotion to the truth that you are the temple, that divine life flows through you as your very being. So you learn to separate what is profane from what is sacred not by exclusion but by aligning every aspect of living under the governor within the core. Practically, you will find God’s presence arises in the middle when you keep returning to that center and treat it as home, regardless of outer conditions.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner sanctuary now; declare 'I am the I AM; this center is holy ground' and breathe, resting in that awareness for a few minutes.
