Inner Inheritance By Lot
Ezekiel 48:29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 48 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel describes land divided by lot for inheritance to the tribes; Neville reinterprets this as an inner division of our consciousness, where aspects of the self receive their due through conscious assumption.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ezekiel’s pageant of land apportioned by lot is not about geography but the inner map of your being. In the deepest sense, the land you divide is the field of your consciousness, and the tribes are the diverse facets of your I AM—grace, health, security, purpose—each allotted not by chance but by your settled assumption. When you ‘divide by lot,’ you are drawing boundaries in your inner kingdom, choosing which portions you will defend with belief and which you will release to become manifestations of your state of mind. The Lord GOD, the Eternal I AM, assigns the portions; the outer world merely reflects what your inner decree has established. Therefore, the inward act comes before the outward appearance: you must know you own the land before you see it in form. If lack persists, revise your stance: I have inherited because I am the I AM; my inner landscape is orderly and abundant. Your vocation is fidelity to a single, convincing assumption, and the land will rearrange itself to match that decree. You are the steward of your inner Eden; your life is the map of your consent.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine drawing a boundary inside your mind, naming zones for health, abundance, peace, and purpose. Then boldly declare, 'This land is mine now,' and feel the reality of that possession until it lingers as a true sensation in you.
