The Sacred Firstfruits Within

Ezekiel 48:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 48 in context

Scripture Focus

14And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the firstfruits of the land: for it is holy unto the LORD.
Ezekiel 48:14

Biblical Context

The firstfruits must remain untraded and kept holy to the LORD. They belong to the LORD and are to be honored as sacred.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of Ezekiel’s firstfruits as the innermost riches of your consciousness, the high states you guard rather than barter away. The land is your entire being; the firstfruits are the pure capacities of awareness you offer back to the I AM. To sell or exchange them is to pretend you own what you are only awakening. The LORD is not a distant lawgiver but your unchanging I AM, the ever-present awareness through which you live. When you cling to fear, doubt, or limitation as if they were property, you alienate the sacred gifts that define you as Spirit in form. The commandment invites you to revere inner abundance and steward it with reverent care. By assuming these sacred states are inseparable from your very being, you align with the reality that they are yours to keep and to reveal, not to barter. The moment you regard holiness as your natural state of consciousness, you cease trading your inner power for fleeting pleasures, and your life begins vibrating with the holy.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and recall a sacred inner gift—your calm, faith, or compassion. Declare, 'This firstfruit is holy unto the LORD; I will not barter it,' and feel the sacred state held secure in your awareness.
