The Inner Priesthood of Zadok
Ezekiel 48:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 48 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Zadok priests are sanctified and faithful to God's charge. They did not stray when Israel went astray, unlike the Levites.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine that Ezekiel is not telling you about a temple committee, but about your own inner guard. The priests who are sanctified are the steadfast states of consciousness that keep the I AM at its appointed post. The charge they keep is the discipline of awareness—faithfulness to your inner law—so that no outward spectacle can shake you. When the children of Israel went astray, the Zadok line did not wander because their inner direction was anchored in a higher order of mind. This is not a history lesson, but a map of the soul: you can choose to be the priest who remains unmoved by fear, craving, or social tumult. The rest, the Levites included, illustrate the common tendency to identify with appearances; but you remember your true charge and return to it. The blessing is that such fidelity creates a sanctified life within; your inner temple becomes your world’s governor.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of the sanctified I AM, the keeper of your inner charge. Sit with eyes closed and imagine a bright gate within you that nothing outside can pass through as you remain steady in awareness.
