River of Healing Within Ezekiel
Ezekiel 47:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 47 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes waters moving eastward to the desert and into the sea, healing all they touch and bringing life to everything the river touches, including a great multitude of fish.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezekiel's vision, the outward rivers are your inward states of consciousness in motion. The eastward current is illumination moving toward the heart of your awareness; the desert represents the driest corners of mind and habit, where nothing breathes until the inner waters arrive. When you imagine these waters entering the sea, you are not describing a future event but performing a revision of your entire atmosphere: you awaken to the I Am, and the healing is not coming to you from outside but emerging from within you as sensation and possibility. Wherever the river flows, life returns—the sea becoming a symbol of universal mind and the fish a living sign of abundant experience. Your job is to dwell in the assumption that you are this water, that consciousness is ever moving and renewing itself through you. In this way, healing and renewal are not remedies to seek but states to inhabit, here and now, as you imagine.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and feel the river rising within you, moving toward the east and into your dry places. Assume the sensation of the healed sea already present, and declare I am the waters; life now flows through every aspect of my world.
