Ezekiel 47:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 47 in context

Scripture Focus

6And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
7Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
Ezekiel 47:6-7

Biblical Context

The verse tells of being returned to the brink of a life-giving river. On both banks, a forest of trees appears.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the scene is not a distant land but a state of consciousness. The Lord's question, hast thou seen this, invites you to notice your own inner river of awareness—the I AM that you are. When you are brought back to the brink, you return to the edge of attention where imagination is most alive. The very many trees on either bank symbolize the abundance of living states already present in your mind: health, purpose, love, harmony, fulfillment. They are not outside you but seeds and forests of consciousness awaiting your recognition. To witness the river is to wake to a renewal already accomplished in your inner being; the act of returning is the act of revision—the shift from lack to realization, from wandering to abiding presence. As you observe, you become the river and the trees; your awareness nourishes form, and form reveals your inner conditions. This is prophecy fulfilled not by distant geography but by the faithful attention of I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and stand at the river’s brink in your mind; assume you already possess the life you seek, and feel the I AM flowing through the trees on both banks.
