Inner Inheritance of Strangers
Ezekiel 47:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 47 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage directs that the land be divided by lot for the people and for the strangers who dwell among them; those strangers who have children are to be treated as native and share in the inheritance with the tribes of Israel.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the temple of your own I AM, the land is your inner country and the inheritance is a rightfully claimed state of consciousness. The command to divide by lot teaches you to breathe space for every facet of yourself, including the stranger who sojourns in you—the impulse you call foreign, the fear you push away, the longing you deem impractical. When these parts are given a portion, they cease to be aliens and begin to be neighbors within your life. The child they beget is a living thought arising in your imagination, and when you acknowledge it, that thought is no longer ‘other,’ but a member of your tribe of Israel—your total self. Thus, all inner faculties share in the promised inheritance as one nation, united under the I AM. Your present experience of life becomes inclusive, just, and whole, because you have recognized and accepted every inner citizen as rightful.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you already possess this land; imagine telling your inner self: you have a rightful place here, including the stranger within. Feel the harmony of all parts sharing in your inner inheritance.
