The West Boundary Within

Ezekiel 47:20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 47 in context

Scripture Focus

20The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.
Ezekiel 47:20

Biblical Context

The verse marks the west side as the Great Sea, a defined boundary from the border to Hamath.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the west side as your present boundary—the edge of your current awareness where the 'great sea' of life is yet to be realized. Ezekiel's line teaches that the edge of your map is drawn by your sense of separation, not by external geography. When you imagine crossing that boundary, you are not seeking to change a place but to shift your state of consciousness. The 'border' becomes a place where you say, I am that I am; I choose now to inhabit the vast, inexhaustible sea within. The Hamath of old stands for any buffers, doubts, or previous identities you hold; when you come over against it in imagination, you release the old geometry of limitation and invite the sea to fill your awareness. The Great Sea is not out there; it is within you as your I AM, your continuous life-principle. Let this boundary be a sunlit line you no longer defend, but redraw with the steady faith that you are the I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and step over the boundary in your mind; feel the Great Sea rise within as the I AM now present, and rest in that awareness.
