Biblical Context
Waters issue from the temple's threshold and flow outward, symbolizing life arising from the inner sanctuary and renewing the whole field of experience.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezekiel’s vision, the temple’s threshold is your own I AM—the center of awareness. The waters issuing from under the threshold eastward are the living currents of your imagination, streaming from the innermost sanctuary and traveling toward awakening and renewal. When you live as the I AM, the streams rise from the right side of your awareness and spill out along the path of your daily life. The gate turning northward and the eastward look symbolize a turning of attention toward the rising sun of consciousness, where what you imagine becomes your world. The river’s advance is not a banquet of facts but a movement of inner being: once you acknowledge life as consciousness, the water carries bondage, illness, or lack out of your system and leaves a fresh bank for creation. Thus, renewal comes as you align with the truth that life flows from within, not from external conditions. Your inner temple is the source; the outward world becomes the formed expression of that inward current.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the temple, and feel the waters rising from within and flowing outward. Dwell in the feeling of renewal as if it is already true.
