Inner Gates and the Prince
Ezekiel 46:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 46 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses describe an orderly processional pattern for entering and leaving the temple, with the prince present in the midst as a symbolic guide. They emphasize that movement and leadership arise from the inner order you cultivate.
Neville's Inner Vision
To my imagination Ezekiel's gates are doors within my own consciousness. Entering by the north gate and exiting by the south is not geography but the movement of attention: I draw a virtue into my awareness from one direction and complete its act from the opposite, never retracing the same path. The clause 'over against it' marks a renewal, a turning of state rather than a mere change of location. The prince in the midst is the I AM standing center in my temple—the sovereign presence that keeps order as I move in and out. When I consciously assume the ruler's office, I align with divine presence; my thoughts, feelings, and habits rearrange themselves to echo kingship and true worship. The solemn feasts become daily moments of acknowledgment, not distant rites, where I affirm that God dwells within and that my life is governed by that inner authority. Reality, then, flows from this inner architecture; the outward procession simply mirrors a settled consciousness.
Practice This Now
In a quiet moment, imagine stepping through the north gate with the quality you desire (order, clarity, reverence). Then depart by the south gate as that quality completes, while you feel the I AM in the center watching over the process.
