East Gate of Inner Worship
Ezekiel 46:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 46 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse shows the inner ruler (the prince) making voluntary burnt and peace offerings; once these inner movements are established, the eastern gate opens, he goes forth in the renewed life, and the gate is then shut.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezekiel’s vision, the prince is a state of consciousness that governs your inner life. When this I AM in you yields, voluntarily and with devotion, a burnt offering of surrender and a peace offering of harmony arise as acts of love toward the LORD of your heart. The gate that looks east—the direction of dawn—opens for that state, signaling a rising awareness and a knowable, felt shift in your mind. The offerings are not ritual to appease an external power, but inner movements: releasing attachment to old identities (burnt offering) and cultivating goodwill, forgiveness, and alignment with your true nature (peace offerings). After performing these inner acts, the prince steps forth into daily life, acting from the renewed center; the gate then closes, sealing the change so the old sense of limitation loses sway. Your consciousness has entered a fresh season of worship, obedience, and holy alignment with the greater I AM within.
Practice This Now
Practice now: sit quietly, assume the prince within you, and offer in your imagination a voluntary burnt offering—release a fear or ego need—and a peace offering—impart forgiveness or goodwill. See the east gate swing open, step through in your awareness, then feel the gate close behind you as the new state settles.
