Biblical Context
Ezekiel 45:18-20 describes cleansing the sanctuary with a spotless bull and applying blood to the posts and corners, followed by a ritual of reconciliation.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you is a sanctuary, and the Lord's command to cleanse it is a call to cleanse your own states of consciousness. The first month and the first day signal a fresh start in awareness. The young bullock without blemish is your decision to entertain only pure, uncontrived thoughts—imagined as a spotless idea that can purge clutter from the heart. The blood applied to the posts of the house, the four corners of the altar, and the inner gate is attention consciously laid on every edge of your inner dwelling: your habits, beliefs, and emotions. When you purposefully touch each point with the life-force of I AM, you seal the space with sacred integrity. The seventh-day instruction extends the practice to recurring moments of correction for those who err, teaching that your sanctuary can be continuously reconciled through repeated acts of inner revision. In this way God becomes not a distant ruler but your own awareness actively purging fear, restoring harmony, and inviting peace to dwell within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and imagine you are sweeping the sanctuary of your mind; declare, 'I AM' the sole ruler here. Then visualize applying a beam of pure light to each corner and gate, feeling the space become reconciled.
