Reclaiming Your Inner Sanctuary
Ezekiel 44:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 44 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel polluted God's sanctuary by admitting strangers uncircumcised in heart and flesh, polluting the house and breaking the covenant. They failed to keep the holy charge, placing keepers in the sanctuary for themselves.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you the temple of awareness stands, and the Lord is the I AM within. Ezekiel's rebuke is a mirror for states of consciousness that have allowed strangers to dwell in the sanctuary—thoughts and beliefs uncircumcised in heart and dry of alignment with the divine reality. When you live by appearances, you pollute the holy place and break the covenant you hold with your own inner law. The bread, the fat, the blood you offer are the offerings of daily thought, feeling, and action; if offered from ego or fear, they pollute rather than honor. Yet the covenant remains, and you can recover it by turning the sanctuary toward the I AM, by withdrawing permission for inner strangers to rule. Make yourself the true keeper of the charge; see the holy things guarded by your awakened self. Now revise, and feel the sanctuary restored, your awareness bright with the assurance that you are already what you seek.
Practice This Now
Act: Assume the feeling 'I am the keeper of a holy sanctuary.' In a brief revision, imagine drawing back every inner stranger and letting the I AM alone govern your temple, now and forever.
