Inner Gateways of Presence
Ezekiel 44:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 44 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Two gates frame Ezekiel's vision: the east-facing outward gate is shut because the Lord has entered by it. The prince sits to eat bread before the Lord, and then the north gate reveals the glory filling the house as Ezekiel falls on his face.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice how the gate that looks toward the east is shut; in the inner world, a gate that opens is not needed when the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered by it. In your consciousness, when the I AM enters, the old structures of fear and lack are sealed; there is a prince within you who sits in that gate and eats bread before the Lord—an image of your ruling self fed by divine presence. The gate being shut is not loss but protection; the inner ruler chooses to remain in the Holy of Holies, not exposed to outer traffic. When Ezekiel is brought to the north gate and the glory fills the temple, that is the manifestation of your dormant potential awakened; the temple is your consciousness. The falling on your face is reverence, an acknowledgment that you, as awareness, have witnessed the Infinite within. This is not about external architecture but the inner architecture of your being: consciousness becoming aware of its own sovereignty and sanctity. Practice the felt sense: dwell in the state of the I AM, imagine the gate gently closing as the Divine enters, and watch the life inside you align with that authority.
Practice This Now
Assume the prince's seat before the Lord: close the outward gate in your mind and declare, I enter by the gate of my awareness; now feel the bread of presence before me and let the glory fill my inner temple. Practice for 5–10 minutes, revising any fear into reverent quiet until the felt experience is real.
