Biblical Context
Ezekiel witnesses the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east and filling the temple. The experience lifts him to the inner court as the divine Presence fills his house.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Ezekiel the eastward visitation is a symbol of consciousness awakening. The glory arriving from the east is not a distant event but your I AM stepping into the temple of your awareness. The voice like many waters is the constant, life-giving energy of God speaking through thoughts and feelings. When Ezekiel falls before the vision and the Spirit lifts him into the inner court, you are being shown that higher perception can elevate your entire sense of self. The gate toward the east is the opening of your attention to Source; the inner court is your refined emotional realm where beliefs bow to Truth; and the glory filling the house is your whole being saturated with divine presence. Old cities—old beliefs—may still stand, but the vision renews them by shifting your inner sight. This is not external renovation but inner birth: you are the temple, and the Presence is inside, not outside. Worship becomes the recognition that you live as the dwelling place of the Living One, here and now, in every breath and thought.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the presence now: 'The glory of the LORD fills this temple.' Feel it as warmth, light, and a waters-like hum within; hold that feeling for a few minutes, then rest in it.
