Eastern Gate of Divine Glory

Ezekiel 43:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 43 in context

Scripture Focus

1Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east:
2And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
Ezekiel 43:1-2

Biblical Context

Ezekiel is brought to the gate facing the east, and the glory of the God of Israel comes from the east. His voice sounds like many waters, and the earth shines with that glory.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let us enter the scene as an inner drama, not history. You are led to the gate that faces the east—the exact place in your mind where life enters. The 'glory of the God of Israel' is the I AM waking in you, coming from the east of your consciousness as a palpable presence. The voice, like many waters, is the steady call of awareness that nothing is truly separate from you when you claim oneness. The earth shining with that glory is your life rearranged by the radiance of awareness; it is not out there, it is your inner state made visible. In Neville's terms, this is a revision of your sense of self: assume that the divine presence is already here, that the gate is open, that the sound is real in your chamber. Let the feeling of being seen by the I AM saturate your body, your room, your day. When you dwell with this conviction, you align with the living I AM and watch the ordinary world glow with inner light as if the sun rose inside you.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, turn your inner attention to the east gate of your mind, and imagine it opening. Then declare, 'I AM here now,' and feel the presence filling your room until the sense of separation dissolves.
