24And the doors had two leaves apiece, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door.
Ezekiel 41:24

Biblical Context

The verse describes temple doors that each have two leaves, highlighting a paired, movable opening as a symbol of access to the sacred.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner economy, the temple is your life, and the doors are states of consciousness. Each door bears two turning leaves, two leaves for the one door and two for the other—the two leaves are the two turning movements of attention and belief. When you lack holiness or presence, the doors may seem closed; when you assume and revise, the leaves turn and the space becomes sacred. God, the I AM within, does not reside in distance but in the awareness that opens with a decision. To worship truly, you align your inner posture until your 'temple' is clearly designated as the dwelling place of Presence. The leaves’ turning is your inner motion: you choose to approach, you choose to open, you choose to dwell in the now where you and God are one. By assuming the state that the doors are always ready to turn for you, you invite the Presence to cross the threshold of your awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet minute, stand before your inner temple and imagine the two leaves at each door turning in your favor; declare, 'I am the I AM at the door,' and feel the Presence flowing into your awareness.
