Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses describe a space encircled by cherubim and palm trees; each cherub bears two faces, with a man’s face toward one palm tree and a lion’s face toward the other.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezekiel’s circle of cherubim and palm trees, imagine your own consciousness as the temple these figures guard. The two faces on every cherub—man and lion—are not contradictions but two faculties of your being: the rational, discerning mind (the face of the man) and the bold, protective life-force (the lion). Between them stands the palm tree, symbol of life, growth, and sustenance, signaling that every movement of awareness must turn toward vitality under the Presence. Surrounding the house, this continuous pattern declares your state is whole and holy, not scattered. The Presence of God is the I AM, the watching, animating awareness that makes holiness concrete within the self. When you dwell in this imagined sanctuary and consent that all parts of you belong to the same divine image, your outer world begins to answer with harmony. This image-work is a practical discipline: you revise your state by assuming, and feeling it real, that you are already encircled by unity—man, lion, palm, and the I AM pulsing as one.
Practice This Now
Assume this sanctuary now: see a circle of cherubs with man and lion faces around a central palm; feel the I AM at the core. If doubt arises, revise: 'There is only one Presence; I am that Presence,' and feel it real in your chest.
