Read Ezekiel 39 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel went into captivity because of iniquity. God promises their return, mercy, and the outpouring of His Spirit.
Neville's Inner Vision
Exile and captivity are states of consciousness, not distant lands. The heathen are the voices of limitation you briefly heed as real. When God hides His face, you have forgotten your I AM; when you remember, the veil lifts. The promise, 'Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy,' is your inner revision: you choose to return to your true land—awareness itself—where you are sanctified in the sight of many nations of doubt and fear. As you bear your shame and trespasses, you begin to feel safe in your own land because you have released the belief that you are divided from God. The outpouring of Spirit upon the house of Israel is the felt surge of inspiration, compassion, and power arising from inside. The act of restoration is a present-tense choice: assume the end, feel it real, and dwell as the one you truly are. Then the outer scenes of captivity dissolve into the peace of your restored land, and you know I AM is the Lord your God within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare 'I AM' as your genuine identity. Revise any sense of separation by affirming 'I am restored now in my inner land' and feel the fullness.
