Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God calls a symbolic assembly around a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, signaling judgment. The people and nations will see the LORD’s hand at work and Israel will come to know Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Ezekiel's hearer, the outer ritual mirrors an inner economy. The assembly of birds and beasts gathering to a sacrifice is not a carnage but the mind's gathering of every aspect of self—habits, fears, pride, and pain—around the altar of awareness. The 'great sacrifice' on the mountains of Israel stands for the moment you consent to a shift in consciousness, letting the old world feed the new understanding that you are the one who creates. When the flesh is eaten and blood drunk, you are tasting the consequences of your thoughts, feeding on the energy your images draw to you. The table of the Lord becomes your own state of consciousness: the powers you once believed controlled you—strength, war, and status—are now seen as expressions of your inner belief. God's glory among the heathen is the revealed truth that your inner state dictates outer events; Israel's captivity becomes a memory of former beliefs you break free from as you align with I AM. The judgment is not punishment but awakening, a clearing away of masks so that God’s presence is recognized by all.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the host at your inner feast. Declare I AM as your awareness and feel the power of consciousness filling your table.
