Inner Restoration for the Flock

Ezekiel 34:13-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 34 in context

Scripture Focus

13And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
15I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
16I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
Ezekiel 34:13-16

Biblical Context

God promises to gather his people, bring them back to their land, and provide safe, nourishing rest. He also vows to seek the lost, bind up the broken, heal the sick, and govern with discernment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Ezekiel’s vision, I AM stands not as a distant god but as your own unconditioned awareness gathering every dispersed image of life into a single land of peace. The country, mountains, and rivers are symbols of a consciousness that can be settled, nourished, and rested in. When I say, I will feed my flock and cause them to lie down, I am describing a state you inhabit by imagination alone: you stop chasing lack, and you rest in a good pasture of belief. The 'lost' and 'driven away' are memories or habits you once mistook for you; by inward revision you bind up the broken and strengthen the sick with a gentle, confident touch of awareness. The line about destroying the fat and the strong points to egoic excess that must yield to new discernment; through disciplined imagination you are fed with judgment—the clear, just direction that sustains a thriving inner life. This is the restoration that is always available when you answer with awareness rather than circumstance.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the state of being fed, resting, and safely gathered in a good pasture. Stay with the feeling for a few minutes and revise any sense of separation by softly affirming, I AM, the awareness gathers and heals me now.
