Ezekiel 33:7-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God appoints Ezekiel as a watchman over Israel. The text warns that ignoring the call to warn ends in tragedy, while warning leads to turning and wholeness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the Neville lens, Ezekiel 33:7-9 reveals a state of consciousness rather than a distant scene. The watchman is your own I AM, the awakened awareness that hears the voice of God within and speaks from that sacred center. The 'wicked' is any stubborn habit or belief you have not yet revised. When the command says, 'thou shalt surely die' to the old pattern, it is not a doom on you but a call to disidentify and let the old self melt away. To 'warn the wicked from his way to turn from it' is your act of revision: you declare a new possibility, feel it as real, and invite the pattern to exit. If the pattern remains, the inner world remains challenged, but you have delivered your soul by refusing to identify with limitation. Your responsibility is the sign that you carry the authority of God into your own heart. When you speak truth to the inner life, you free your mind from old scripts and enter the living presence of awareness that never dies.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the role of the inner watchman over your life. When a habit surfaces, silently declare, 'I warn this pattern to turn from its way,' and feel the new possibility taking root as real.
