Biblical Context
Those who hear the warning trumpet must act. If they ignore it, they bear the consequence themselves; if they heed it, they deliver their soul. The watchman has the duty to warn the people, or share in the consequence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezekiel the trumpet is your consciousness sounding. The call is not punishment but invitation to revise your state. When you hear and do not revise, you cling to the old self and the belief of limitation remains on your mind. If you heed the call, you deliver your soul by occupying the renewed state now. The watchman is the I AM present in you, watching every thought and impulse. The law is simple: you become what you assume in imagination. The sword exposes the gap between belief and living; your task is to close that gap by assuming here and now the new state you desire and feeling it real until it becomes your life. Blow your own trumpet by declaring the state you choose, and move in harmony with it. When the inner trumpet is believed, your world follows the proof of your revised consciousness. You are the watcher, you are the word, you are the reality you imagine.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: sit in silence and picture yourself as the watchman over your mind. When a limiting thought appears, declare I AM as the new state, and dwell there, feeling it real until the old belief dissolves.
