Beyond Words to Action

Ezekiel 33:31-32 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 33 in context

Scripture Focus

31And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
32And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
Ezekiel 33:31-32

Biblical Context

People listen to the call but do not act. Their outward devotion masks a heart drawn toward covetousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

View the scene Ezekiel describes as a state of consciousness in you. The people come to you in the guise of your present level of awareness that loves the sound of spiritual talk, yet their hearts chase wealth. They hear the words but do not enact them because belief has not merged with living inner law. Now turn inside and awaken the I AM that both hears and responds. Obedience is not a ritual to perform but a state you dwell in. When a covetous impulse arises, declare that you are wealth’s steward and let your thoughts align with a divine intention for right use. Your life then becomes the instrument by which inner conviction is made visible; the lovely song becomes living harmony as you act in harmony with inner guidance. The shift comes not by changing others but by changing your assumed self to the one who acts in truth, not merely in appearance. The more you stay in that state, the more your outer world reflects faithful obedience rather than hollow devotion.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: close your eyes and assume the state I am the obedient I AM, with my heart aligned to divine purpose. Revise the thought I will act later into I act now in harmony with inner guidance, and feel it real.
