The Mouth Opened by Imagination

Ezekiel 33:21-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 33 in context

Scripture Focus

21And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
22Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
Ezekiel 33:21-22

Biblical Context

In Ezekiel 33:21-22, a messenger announces Jerusalem's fall, and Ezekiel experiences the Lord's hand empowering him in the evening, freeing his speech from dumbness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the 'city is smitten' signal is your old self collapsing; the twelfth year marks a fixed inner season. The 'hand of the LORD' coming in the evening is the rising awareness—your I AM—that moves within you. When you assume a new state, your mouth ceases to be mute as you align with the living presence you already are. Imagination becomes the agent, opening speech by changing your inner atmosphere so your words reflect the new consciousness you have already created inwardly. The inner messenger is your own testimony breaking into awareness, announcing what you have inwardly accepted. From that moment you speak with authority, no longer identifying with the old outcome but as the voice of God in you. This is prophecy made personal: a revision of self, a felt sense of being heard, and a declaration that confirms the fulfilled state here and now.

Practice This Now

Before sleep, assume you are Ezekiel: feel the hand of the LORD upon you and your mouth opening, and declare a state you desire as already true. Rest in the feeling of it-real.
