Inner Turnaround Ezekiel 33:18-19

Ezekiel 33:18-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 33 in context

Scripture Focus

18When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
19But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
Ezekiel 33:18-19

Biblical Context

Righteousness and wickedness are inner states; turning away from the old state brings inner death, while turning toward a new, lawful state brings inner life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider that righteousness and wickedness are not external people but states of consciousness you entertain. When you turn from your righteousness—holding onto a fixed self-image—you die to that old alignment; the 'death' is the quieting of the voice that declares, I am right, and the loosening of its grasp. This is not punishment but the natural law of inner transformation at work. Conversely, when the so-called wicked turn away from their bent and choose that which is lawful and right, they awaken to life that was already present as a possibility within the I AM—the one awareness you call your own. The outer world echoes your inner decision. Your imagination is not a mere trick; it is the causal power by which you determine your state. By assuming a new inner state and feeling it as real, you revise the past and seed a future aligned with that choice. Repentance becomes a reidentification with a new inner ruler: I AM here, now, the life that cannot die.

Practice This Now

Impose a new inner governor in your mind: assume you have already turned from the old state, and feel the certainty of life blooming from within I AM. Sit with this for a minute and let it drift into your day.
