Vexed Hearts, Inner Awakening
Ezekiel 32:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 32 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse speaks of God stirring the hearts of many as destruction comes among the nations. It depicts judgment as a force that unsettles outward order.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Ezekiel’s line not as a historical decree about distant peoples, but as a parable of your inner weather. The 'I' that speaks is the I AM within you, the constant awareness that shapes every experience. When you entertain a belief that your former self or a trusted identity must be destroyed, your heart will become unsettled—vexed—by the implications of that belief. The destruction the text speaks of is the shedding of old, familiar worlds as you birth a deeper state of consciousness. The nations you have not known are simply currents of possibility you have not yet chosen; they are the regions of your mind that await your willing arrival. Your task is to refuse to identify with the mere happenings of the outer scene and to return to the rock of your awareness, where you revise the sensation of reality by assuming you are already within the state you seek. In that inner act, the vexation dissolves into clarity as you live the promised return in consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and acknowledge I AM as the source of all you perceive. Revise the scene by affirming that you are already in the state you seek, and feel it real for a minute.
